Important People in Iridia
Montrose VI Havell: King of Iridia. His father, King Aginot IV, is the king who had the Warlock Lord whipped in the public square. In the decades of war that followed, Aginot and six of his seven sons were all killed in battle, leaving Montrose, the youngest son, to ascend the throne in the middle of a war. Out of necessity, King Montrose has become an accomplished general, and has taken the field many times against one or another of the Thirteen.
House Havell: The royal family. The king’s two surviving heirs are his two sons, Phillippus and Simon, both of whom command armies in the field. He also has two daughters: Jean, a ordained sister in the Order of the Blessed Sun, and Leonora, who studies at the Bardic Academy.
The Court: During the campaigning season the king takes his court to war with him. His closest friend and advisor is the court bard Lord Muirrick. He is frequently advised by the heads of the other six Great Houses, along with Baron Sir Xaveus Redmantle, the current archmagister of the Royal Academy, and Her Holiness Callista XIII, the Hierarch of the Order of the Sacred Stars and ranking High Priestess of the Temple of the Triune Dawn.
